Procedure: Revisional Upper Blepharoplasty
Description:This beautiful young female had previous upper lid surgery by another surgeon. She was quite unhappy with the results of her initial surgery. As seen in the before photos, the right upper lid has an abnormal central peak and is too high (right upper lid retraction) whereas the left upper lid curvature is too flat and sitting too low (left lid ptosis). Also, both upper lids have extra skin folds at different heights making the asymmetry look even worse. Here, Dr Maleki performed a revisional upper lid blepharoplasty to lower the right upper lid, raise the left upper lid and remove the extra folds to create a single, well-positioned and most importantly symmetric upper lid crease. Dr Maleki’s level of skill and attention to detail is unparalleled.

Description: This patient of mixed Asian heritage had a mild degree of excess skin in both upper lids that made it difficult for her to apply make up. In addition, she had a fat bulge in the right lower lid, which made her look more tired that she actually was. She did not want a drastic change in the appearance of her eyes and therefore Dr. Maleki performed a conservative upper blepharoplasty combined with an internal right lower lid blepharoplasty to remove the excess fat and avoid any visible external scars. She was very pleased with her natural looking results.

After pictures were taken only 2 weeks after surgery. Note that her eyes are more open and she has a single symmetric upper lid crease. In addition, the lower lid lashes are now pointing downwards and not rubbing against her eyes.

This resulted in significant discomfort and redness in his eyes.Dr Maleki performed a lower lid retraction repair combined with an ectropion repair. Post revisional eyelid surgery, the patient’s red eye symptoms and dry eye symptoms improved and he was much more comfortable with cosmetic appearance of his eyes.
