Planning your journey to Toronto Eyelid Surgery

Many patients travel from across Canada, the United States, and abroad to see Dr. Babak Maleki, seeking his expertise for natural, meticulous eyelid rejuvenation surgeries as well as revision surgeries and complex under-eye and filler-related issues.

If you're considering surgery and live outside of the Toronto area, our team is happy to assist you every step of the way—from your virtual consultation to post-operative accommodations.

Step 1: Initial Contact

To begin, please contact our office to request a consultation. If you are within driving distance of Toronto, we always recommend an in-person consultation, as this allows Dr. Maleki to perform the most accurate assessment of your facial anatomy, eyelid function, and aesthetic goals.

If you're unable to travel for your initial visit, Dr. Maleki offers virtual consultations for out-of-town patients. To get started, please click on the “Book Now” button, complete the patient intake form, and upload three clear photos of your face (front, left side, and right side).

Step 2: Virtual Consultation

Once your photos and background are reviewed, our office will contact you to schedule a virtual consultation with Dr. Maleki. During this video call, Dr. Maleki will learn more about your concerns, perform a preliminary evaluation, and discuss whether you're a good candidate for surgery.

He will walk you through his recommended treatment plan and answer any questions you may have.

A second in-person consultation with Dr. Maleki will take place the day before your surgery, once you arrive in Toronto, to finalize your treatment plan and ensure all details are confirmed. At that appointment, Dr. Maleki will review your anatomy in person, confirm your surgical plan, and ensure you're fully prepared for the next day’s procedure.

Step 3: Booking Surgery

If you decide to move forward, our surgical coordinator will assist you in selecting a date and organizing your travel timeline. A deposit is required to secure your surgery.

Our surgical nurse will schedule a pre-operative phone call with you approximately 3–4 weeks before your surgery.During this call, you’ll receive detailed pre-operative instructions, and she’ll take the time to answer any remaining questions you may have to ensure you feel fully prepared and confident ahead of your procedure.

Step 4: Post-Operative Recovery

We advise all surgical patients to remain in Toronto for at least 8 days after surgery, depending on the procedure. This allows time for the 1st post operative follow-up visit, to remove sutures and monitor the initial stages of healing. Our team will provide detailed care instructions and support throughout your recovery. Other Post-operative follow-ups (1 month, 6 months, and 1 year ) are done virtually and with photographs. Some patients decide to return for an in-person visit a few months following the procedures.
